A Strange Sound in a Quiet Parking Area

It started as a small mystery in an otherwise ordinary residential parking lot.

Once the opening was large enough, the puppy was gently lifted out of the car.

Colo joined two other rescued puppies already being cared for at the small shelter. Despite the uncertainty of her past, she adapted quickly to her new environment.

After her first night, she woke up curious and energetic — a good sign that her ordeal had not broken her spirit.

Meals were prepared carefully, mixing nutritious food with the medicine recommended by the veterinarian. Colo eagerly ate, showing that her appetite was healthy.
