A Quiet Discovery in the Brush

In a dry patch of brush where few people would normally stop, rescuers found a small dog struggling to survive.
The little dog, later named Mamta, looked exhausted. Her fur was tangled with dust and dirt, and her thin body showed just how long she had been trying to survive alone.
When a rescuer from Saahas for Animals Foundation approached her, Mamta didn’t run away. Instead, she seemed too tired to move.
The rescuer gently lifted the small dog into their arms and wrapped her in a soft cloth to keep her warm. For the first time in what may have been many days, Mamta was no longer alone.
She was finally on her way to safety.
A Serious Wound Revealed
Once Mamta was brought to a safer place, rescuers were able to examine her condition more closely.
What they discovered was deeply concerning.
Just beneath her ear, along the side of her neck, Mamta had a large open wound. The injury was deep and severely infected, causing visible pain and discomfort.
Signs of infection were already present, and without treatment the situation could quickly become life-threatening.
The rescue team knew she needed urgent veterinary care.

Emergency Care at the Veterinary Clinic
Mamta was quickly transported to a veterinary clinic where medical staff began treating the injury.
The first step was to clean the wound carefully.
Using antiseptic solution and sterile cotton, the veterinarians gently removed infected material and cleaned the surrounding skin. The process had to be done slowly to avoid causing additional discomfort.
Because Mamta’s body was extremely weak, the veterinary team also started intravenous fluids.
The IV therapy helped provide hydration, medication, and essential nutrients—giving her body the support it needed to begin healing.
For the small dog lying quietly on the examination table, this care marked the beginning of a new chapter.
The First Steps Toward Recovery
Although Mamta was still fragile, being in a safe environment made an enormous difference.
She could finally rest without fear. The warmth, food, and medical attention surrounding her offered something she had been missing for far too long—stability.

Her rescuers stayed close during the treatment, speaking softly and reassuring her while the veterinary team continued their work.
Each small step brought her closer to recovery.
A Call for Compassion
Mamta’s story also highlights the reality faced by many stray animals.
Without the intervention of rescue groups and caring individuals, injuries like hers often go untreated. Organizations such as Saahas for Animals Foundation rely heavily on public support to continue helping animals in urgent need.
At the end of the video, viewers are invited to support the foundation through donations, with details and a QR code provided for those who wish to contribute.
For animals like Mamta, that support can make the difference between suffering alone and receiving the care that gives them a second chance.
And thanks to the people who stopped to help, Mamta’s journey toward healing has already begun.
