A Message That Led Into the Storm

The rain had already begun falling heavily when the message arrived.

A friend had sent a short note saying a tiny puppy had been seen abandoned near the roadside. There were no details beyond that — only the location and the quiet urgency behind the words.

Without hesitation, the young rescuer put on a raincoat and drove through the downpour.
